Lucasfilm has confirmed the Ahsoka Season 2 release date, with the series set to premiere exclusively on Disney+ on 20 January 2027.
The release date was revealed during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, where series creator and Lucasfilm president and chief creative officer Dave Filoni appeared alongside Rosario Dawson, Hayden Christensen and Eman Esfandi. The presentation also included the debut of the new season’s teaser trailer and poster.
Season 2 will continue Ahsoka Tano’s journey beyond the known galaxy. Ahsoka and her Jedi apprentice, Sabine Wren, must travel across a mysterious and dangerous world as they attempt to find their way home.
Meanwhile, Hera, Ezra, Zeb and Chopper will confront Grand Admiral Thrawn and his allies, who are seeking to push the New Republic into another war. The season will also explore what it means for Ahsoka to be a Jedi following the fall of the Empire and the rise of the New Republic.
Rosario Dawson returns in the title role, alongside Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Lars Mikkelsen, Eman Esfandi, Ivanna Sakhno, Rory McCann and Hayden Christensen.
The second season will be directed by Dave Filoni, Jennifer Getzinger, Bryce Dallas Howard and Anders Engström. Filoni has written the series and serves as an executive producer with Jon Favreau and Carrie Beck. Karen Gilchrist is the co-executive producer, while John Bartnicki and Joan Schneider are producers.
Ahsoka Season 2 premieres exclusively on Disney+ on 20 January 2027. The first season and the wider Star Wars collection are currently available to stream on the service.
