Alienware at E3 2013

At E3 in Los Angeles Alienware released the latest in its gaming laptop range. The new Alienware laptop range now includes the Alienware 14, Alienware 17 and Alienware 18 at E3 in Los Angeles.

Alienware says “All three laptops feature a new, iconic, angular design that takes its cues from jet engines and stealth bombers with an anodised aluminium shell and magnesium alloy body”. One of the new features for the range of laptops is a new anti glare LCD display designed to limit the light reflections in different lit environments on the screen. As well as this, for the Alienware 17 there is an optional 3D screen capability for the laptop while the Alienware 18 will have a full HD display with a PLS wide viewing technology. The screens on these new laptops are inherently designed to give the best gaming performance possible for the gamers which is reflected in the various screen designs.

Technical Specifications are as follows

Quad-core 4th generation Intel Core i7 processors, and NVIDIA GeForce 700 series graphics. DDR3L memory provides exceptional bandwidth with lower voltage requirements designed for increased battery life, and the laptops now provide support for up to three storage drives on the Alienware 14, and up to four storage drives on the Alienware 17 and 18.

Alienware 18 will feature NVIDIA SLI dual graphics technology as standard, and the laptop will offer an overclocked CPU option with a maximum speed of 4.3GHz[i]. The laptops all feature Ethernet technology by Qualcomm’s Killer networks, Klipsch speakers and Dolby Home Theater v4 audio.

When do these new Alienware 14, 17 and 18 laptops come out?

They are due to be released later this June in Australia and can be purchased from Dell.
