Arcane Season 1 Blu-Ray Review

Arcane is a TV series which is based on characters from the very popular video game, League of Legends. The series focusses on Vi and Jinx and tells their stories. The show is animated. Arcane has voice performances from Hailee Steinfeld, Ella Purnell, Kevin Alejandro and Katie Leung.

This Blu-Ray release is something that’s a bit special to have for fans because the show was originally released on Netflix and many fans likely had no expectations for a physical media release. But luckily, one has been made and fans of the show are now able to own series. There are two versions of the Blu-Ray, there’s a 4k and a standard. This review is for the standard version.

The first thing I’d mention about it is that it’s super nice being able to watch this on a Blu-ray disc. For most, the video quality of Netflix is just good enough, but for many people, you will want to have something better than that for your favourite show. I could immediately tell that the show looked much better as soon as I started watching the first episode on Blu-Ray. I loved the colours and the extra quality is much appreciated.

The Blu-Ray set comes in 3 discs and there’s many hours of special features and bonus content to enjoy. For fans, this something I’m sure they will want to watch. I spent a few hours watching the bonus content and found it was decent. The run time of each of the extra videos was long and I like that there looked to be some effort put into producing these special features.

The only negative probably is that this is not a 4k version. So I can’t say this is the best the show can look, I don’t have the 4k version to check it, but for people who are fans, I would recommend taking a look at that one just because it likely is the better looking version of the show.

Overall the Arcane Season 1 Blu-Ray (standard edition) might be a nice addition to your Blu-Ray collection. For fans of the show, I think they will really enjoy this, especially all the bonus content that it comes with which is approximately 3 hours.
