There is an interesting article about the game from inverse which talks about many details about this game, which are actually a little hard to find. In it, they have translated some of the game’s website into English as it’s all in Chinese and I can’t read it to do it for this post. There’s a quote there that says the developers said “we will ship it only when we feel satisfied as players” which to me says it will probably be some time away, I think maybe 2022, but that’s just my theory as it’s not confirmed yet. Is there a trailer for Black Myth: Wu Kong?
One trailer has been released so far for the game and it was actually a 13 minute gameplay trailer. It has been revealed as an action adventure video game and the trailer description mentions that the game footage was recorded from their ‘pre-alpha game build’and is a work in progress. Pre-Alpha is pretty early in development, which is why think the game could release in 2022 more likely than 2021.

There is a comment from the game developer’s on the video that reads “Thanks so much for the support from all of you. Our team will continue on the game development. Also the community contributions (subtitles) just turned ON for this video. Thanks again!” They’re still developing it and it looks good. Hoping it’s coming out soon, but if they need time to perfect it, then that’s okay with me as well.
I love the look of this game and am very excited about, so will keep this post as updated as I can for its release date.
