Blu-ray Releases: 11/17/13 – 11/23/13

It’s a busy Blu-ray week with three new titles coming to Australia and four coming to America. Who has the best selection though? Let’s find out:

AUSTRALIA RELEASES

After Earth comes to Blu-ray this week. The Shyamalan Smith Sci-Fi had a $130 million budget and made $243.8 million worldwide making the film a mild box office success. The Blu-ray comes with an Ultraviolet copy.

The Conjuring came to Blu-ray this week. The James Wan Horror had a $20 million budget and made $316.7 million worldwide making the film a box office success. The Blu-ray comes with a DVD and an Ultraviolet copy.

Pacific Rim comes to Blu-ray this week. The Guillermo del Toro Sci-Fi Action flick had a $190 million budget and made $407.6 million worldwide making the film a box office success. Two Blu-rays are available: one that includes a DVD and an Ultraviolet copy and another that comes with a 3D Blu-ray and an Ultraviolet copy. AMERICA RELEASES

2 Guns comes to Blu-ray this week. The Denzel Washington-Mark Wahlberg Action Comedy had a $61 million budget and made $131.3 million worldwide making the film a box office success. The Blu-ray comes with a DVD, Digital, and Ultraviolet copy.

Planes comes to Blu-ray this week. The Disney Animation had a $50 million budget and currently has $219.3 million worldwide making the film a box office success. Two different Blu-rays are available: one with a 3D, DVD, and Digital Copy and another with a DVD and Digital Copy.

We’re the Millers comes to Blu-ray this week. The Jason Sudeikis-Jennifer Aniston Comedy had a $37 million budget and currently has $266.3 million worldwide making the film a box office success. The Blu-ray comes with a DVD and an Ultraviolet copy.

The World’s End makes it to Blu-ray this week. The Simon Pegg-Nick Frost Comedy had a $20 million budget and currently has $46 million worldwide making the film a box office success. The Blu-ray comes with a DVD, Digital, and Ultraviolet copy. We loved The World’s End, read that review right here.

That’s it for this week on Blu-ray. According to Rotten Tomatoes, Australia’s films average out to a “Rotten” 56.6% to America’s equally “Rotten” 56.75% making America the “winner” this week. The highest rated film was America’s The World’s End with a “Certified Fresh” 89% with the lowest rated film being Australia’s After Earth with a “Rotten” 11%. Do you plan on picking up any of these titles?
