Captain Phillips boards the Blu-ray ship this week. The Oscar-nominated drama had a $55 million budget and currently has $217.8 million worldwide. The Blu-ray comes with an Ultraviolet code.

Prisoners will kidnap your money this week. The Hugh Jackman-Jake Gyllenhaal action thriller had a $46 million budget and made $122.1 million worldwide. The Blu-ray comes with a DVD and an Ultraviolet code.

Thor: The Dark World darkens up your Blu-ray collection this week. The Marvel moneymaker had a $170 million budget and currently has $641.3 million worldwide. 12 Years a Slave took its time to come to Blu-ray this week. The Best Picture winning drama had a $20 million budget and currently has $140.2 million worldwide. The Blu-ray comes with an Ultraviolet copy. We consider 12 Years a Slave one of 2013’s best, read the movie review right here.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will light up Blu-ray shelves this week (it comes out on Friday versus the normal Tuesday). The box office juggernaut had a $130 million budget and currently has $863.7 million worldwide. The Blu-ray comes with a DVD and an Ultraviolet copy. That’s it for this week on Blu-ray. According to Rotten Tomatoes, Australia’s films average out to 78% while America’s films average out to 87% making America the winner this week. The highest rated film was America’s 12 Years a Slave with a “Certified Fresh” 96% while the lowest was Australia’s Thor: The Dark World with a “Fresh” 65%.
