This week on Blu-ray: Australia nets six new releases while America gets only three. But who has the better titles? Let’s find out!
AUSTRALIAN RELEASES
Beautiful Creatures comes to Blu-ray this week. The Emmy Rossum drama was barely a success with a budget of $60 million with only a little over $60 million in the bank. The Blu-ray comes with a Digital Copy.

Cloud Atlas comes to Blu-ray this week. The Tom Hanks and Halle Berry Sci-Fi had an unknown budget and made $130.4 million worldwide. The Blu-ray comes with an Ultraviolet copy.

The Last Stand makes its last stand on Blu-ray this week. The Arnold Schwarzenegger action flick was a box office failure with a budget of $45 million and only $37.1 million worldwide. The Blu-ray comes with a Digital Copy.

ParaNorman comes to Blu-ray this week. The Anna Kendrick starring animation was a decent success with $107.1 million worldwide on a budget of $60 million. There are two Blu-rays, one with a 3D copy and another without one. Both versions come with 2D Blu-rays and an Ultraviolet copy.

Playing for Keeps arrives on Blu-ray this week. The Gerard Butler and Jessica Biel romantic comedy had an unknown budget but only made $13.1 million worldwide. The Blu-ray comes with a Digital Copy.

Side Effects comes to Blu-ray this week. The Rooney Mara and Jude Law thriller had an unknown budget and made $32.1 million worldwide. The Blu-ray does not appear to come with any other copies.

AMERICAN RELEASES
The Call comes to Blu-ray this week. The Halle Berry thriller had a $13 million budget and made $51.8 million worldwide. The Blu-ray comes with a DVD and Ultraviolet Copy.

The Incredible Burt Wonderstone magically appears on Blu-ray. The Steve Carrell and Steve Buscemi comedy had a budget of $30 million and only made $22.5 million in the box office. The Blu-ray comes with a DVD, Digital, and Ultraviolet copy.

Phantom appears on Blu-ray this week. The Ed Harris thriller had an unknown budget and only made $1 million in the box office. The Blu-ray comes with an Ultraviolet copy.

According to Rotten Tomatoes, Australia’s releases average out to 58% while America’s releases average out to a laughable 33%. Australia easily takes home the gold. The best reviewed release was ParaNorman with an 87% while Playing for Keeps was the lowest with a pity 4%. Come back next week to see what new releases come out.
