2K and Gearbox Software have announced that Borderlands 4 Story Pack 2, FL4K and the Last Resort, will launch on 10 September 2026 alongside the new Vault Hunter Loveless the Hacker and Bounty Pack 5, Amara and the Vile Shadows.
FL4K and the Last Resort introduces Providence, a tropical zone containing missions, collectibles, landmarks, enemies, boss fights and new loot. Players will team up with FL4K against Tediore forces operating on the island.
Providence includes ziplines that provide access to elevated positions, along with activities that send players into Tediore’s digiverse servers to battle waves of enemies. The Story Pack offers two new Pearlescent weapons and 18 pieces of Legendary gear.
Loveless the Hacker is an ex-Anshin hacker turned assassin equipped with advanced cybernetics. She shares her mind with a digital virus that can take on a physical form. Loveless and her cosmetics will be sold separately from the Story Pack’s narrative content, map and missions.
Bounty Pack 5, Amara and the Vile Shadows, adds a repeatable mission involving Phase disturbances, along with new bosses, cosmetics and Legendary gear. Completing the mission will unlock a Vault Hunter Skin for all Vault Hunters, a Vehicle and an ECHO-4 Drone Skin.
Story Pack 2, Loveless and Bounty Pack 5 will arrive through the Version 1.10 update on 10 September. The update will increase the maximum level cap by 10 for all Borderlands 4 players.
