CD PROJEKT RED has announced that Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 will premiere exclusively on Netflix on 20 October 2026. A new trailer has also been released for the upcoming anime series.
The 10-episode standalone series is set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077 and was created through a collaboration between CD PROJEKT RED and animation studio TRIGGER. It will feature a new cast whose intertwining stories unfold as they fight their own battles across Night City.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is described as a raw human story centred on revenge and redemption, offering a new perspective on edgerunners in a city shaped by violence and spectacle.
The series is directed by Kai Ikarashi, with a story by Hugo Award winner Bartosz Sztybor and character designs by Kanno Ichigo.
