Fall Guys is a game that came developed by Mediatonic and was published by Devolver digital. The game was released on both the PS4 and PC on August 4 2020. It is a battle royale game where a player will need to survive a series of rounds and challenged in order to be deemed the winner. Each round is broken up into a bunch of mini games and players will be challenged against a series of other players online each and every time.
How popular is Fall Guys?
After Fall Guys launched on August 4 2020, it slowly became an internet sensation and widely popular with the gaming community. According to Devolver Digital’s blog, the game has already sold over 2 million copies of the game have been sold so far and it’s not even been 30 days since launch yet. On Steam, Fall Guy is currently one of the most popular games as well, with the game being currently number 5 on the most played games this week, with around 100k active players per day.
There have been many popular online streamers playing the game and it continues to surge higher in popularity. In August 2020, two of gaming’s most popular streamers battled each other in Fall Guys, Pewdiepie and Dr Disresepect. The match was watched by around 70k people, maybe more that was just the number of viewers there when I was watching.
