Dragon Ball Super Episode 92 Review

Please Note: There Are Spoilers In Our Dragon Ball Super Episode 92 Review Discussion

So episode 92 of Dragon Ball Super just aired and this one was a pretty big episode for the show and this arc for a variety of reasons. There weren’t really any big fights, but the episode is likely the complication point for this part of the arc’s story which our heroes must solve.

The biggest thing that happened in this one is that Majin Buu has fallen asleep and cannot be woken up in time for the tournament. In fact he’ll be asleep for 2 whole months! This makes things difficult a bit for Goku’s team. Additionally the team members have just discovered that Goku lied about the prize money. So two things happen, Goku needs to find a new team member and Krillin/18 don’t feel like entering anymore. The latter is easily resolved, with Bulma putting up the money for 18 and Krillin entering anyway after a little pressure from Beerus.

The first part of the problem is the harder one. Goku gets the crazy idea to invite Freiza to the tournament. First off, Freiza is dead, how will they bring him there? Second, Freiza is the biggest enemy in the series, sure he’s strong, but can he really be trusted? We won’t really find out any of this until the next episode of the series, but from what the preview showed, I’m curious about what exactly Freiza’s request will be?

This episode also gave us a bit of a look at what some of the other universes are doing with their recruitment. The most interesting part of it is the developments in Universe 6. Cabba starts to train Caulifla and teaches her how to become a Super Saiyan, she is able to do it fairly quickly after his lesson about it. Another really big thing for the series out of this development is that now for the first time there are female Super Saiyans!

Caulifla Dragon Ball Super

There’s another Saiyan from Universe 6 being introduced and it’s another female named Kale. Cabba I think doesn’t know much about Kale, but as an audience you may have seen her in some of the previews as the really big female Super Saiyan. The developments here seem interesting. Although everyone here is only really just Saiyan level in strength, they can still put up a good fight. Although I guess they’re way below even Goku’s androids at this point, but still there’s Frost and Hit, so there’s a chance something interesting will come out of this Universe.

We see a bit from Toppo. He’s still worried about his team and his patrol of the Universe. These guys are being set up as kind of good guys in their own right. I’m not sure where the plot of this will take the story or if it will just make it hard for Goku’s team to take them out.

Overall this is a fairly good episode of the show with a lot of developments to the plot and even a little to the lore which is nice to see. Super Saiyan transformations seem to be getting easier and easier for people to achieve. But I guess the difference is that Cabba is teaching other Saiyans how to reach that level or strength. When Goku did it, it was tough, but I don’t remember him showing Vegeta how, people had to figure it out. You can see Caulifla has no idea how to do it. I guess it’s something that can be taught, just like how Vegeta taught Cabba in an earlier tournament.

I’m very much looking forward to seeing Freiza return next week. But what about everyone’s favourite tournament fighter Cell? He’s completely overlooked in this arc!
