Fear The Walking Dead La Serpiente Review

Please Note There Are Some Spoilers In Our Fear The Walking Dead La Serpiente Review – Watch The Episode Then Read

After last week’s double episode, I was interested to see where the show would go from there. Much of the characters in the show are now part of what I call “the water crisis” storyline. With Salazar at the Dam and our ranchers looking for water, I knew eventually that they would be led this way. This is the episode where I think for the first time this season that our groups are communicating with one another.

In this episode we get quite a lot from Victor, who we know was left to wander the streets a few episodes ago and has just recently been rescued by Madison and Qaletqa. Victor’s character has travelled quite a bit this season, so I guess he is best placed to play the role of the navigator. Madison tasks Victor with taking her and Qaletqa to the dam so that they can get the water that they need for the ranchers. Our characters get pretty dirty in those tunnels and do fight a few of the walkers along the way.

Much of the tension of the episode comes when Madison’s group meets up with Salazar and his new group at the dam. There’s some tension between the two and it seems no one really likes Salazar all that much. Even worse is that Salazar’s group are reluctant to give up their water, it turns out a trade for weapons is all they need to persuade them, but only after constant attacks from outsiders trying to take down what they call the “water queen”.

Overall this episode was good. But didn’t have many really “big moments”. I guess it acts as the first in what I think is a long line of communications between the ranchers and the dam people. Now that they’re trading water, I do wonder where the storyline will go and what new tensions may emerge going forward. I’m curious to see what happens next week.

This episode of Fear The Walking Dead airs on Monday the 18th of September @ 1.30pm and 7.30pm AEST Express from the US.
