Disney+ has renewed the Hulu Original drama series Furious for a second season.
The first season is streaming on Hulu in the United States and Disney+ internationally, with its season finale scheduled for Monday, 31 August.
Furious follows FBI agent Alice Black, played by Emmy Rossum, as she hunts a mysterious and calculating female serial killer played by Lola Petticrew. As both pursue their own ideas of justice and their lives begin to intersect, the distinction between right and wrong becomes less clear.
Disney+ reported that viewing increased week by week during the first season. One-day views for episode seven were 40 per cent higher than the premiere.
The series was created, written and executive produced by Elizabeth Meriwether. Rossum also serves as an executive producer through Composition 8, alongside Ronald Bass, Matt Olmstead and Sam Hoffman.
Brian Kirk executive produced the series and directed episodes 101 and 102. The production comes from 20th Television and Searchlight Television.
The first-season cast includes Rossum, Petticrew, Quincy Tyler Bernstine and Scoot McNairy, with guest appearances by Jake Lacy, Rob Delaney, Hope Davis, Rob Yang and Steve Way.
