Game Review — The Sims 4 Toddler Stuff

In “The Sims 4 Toddler Stuff” we get just that; a whole lot of stuff for Toddlers.

There is one word to describe this pack… ADORABLE.

The clothing, objects, animations and the colours make my happy shine.

Let’s have a look at what is included in this new Pack from The Sims.

We are inundated with the cutest content I’ve ever seen. Slides, tunnels, ball pits, cushions, balloons and a lot of fun for the whole family. The most exciting addition to this pack is the Jungle Gym which has all of the play equipment in one massive object which makes it super easy to place in previous lots. Toddlers can explore this monster of a playground and will also gain toddler skills to help them play even better! Of course the parents can get involved by playing pretend and the little ones helping climb and slide to their hearts content.

The Ball Pit is another big object for this pack, and even though the animations are super cute, the community is not impressed. The developers have created quite a basic looking “Ball Pit” due the amount of polygons it would need to fill it! Unfortunately, it would probably struggle on the fastest computer so to combat that, they have given us a sheet of “balls” in the pit. Don’t let that discourage you! The animations make up for this and I could seriously watch them play in it forever — a lot of work has been done to make up for it and it shows.

Another big addition to The Sims 4 Toddler Stuff is the new social event; Play Dates. You can now invite other Toddlers over to “hang” with their parents. Just like a normal party event, there are tasks to be completed in order to receive a gold medal and the prize that comes with it.

When it comes to the Adorable Attire for our tots, there are ample designs and colours, however, as usual, boys are left out a bit in this pack. I would have like to seen some more robots, or astronaut suits or even a pirate costume. I feel like there could have been more depth to the clothing for boys and I think a lot of opportunities were missed to make this pack perfect. In saying that, the clothing for little girls are next level adorable. There is almost a babyish/vintage twist with a lot of pastel colours, bows, frills, ribbons and even bloomers!!

The new hairstyles are probably my favourite park of this pack! Aside from the “jumping around in the ball pit” animations… The cuteness overflows with pigtails and bows and the textures in the curls is getting me excited for the “Cats and Dogs” hairs that were demonstrated in the trailer earlier this week. But, as much as Cats and Dogs had overshadowed the release of The Sims 4 Toddler Stuff, it is definitely a great pack to grab if you are a Sims family player.
