Update: 2/6/2018 – PC / Mac

Happy 18th Anniversary Simmers!

18 years? We’re all adulty and mature now. Wonder if our grey is showing yet? If it is, I’m going back in to Create-a-Sim for some edits.

In the meantime, however, let’s raise our juice in a toast to you, the fans! Thank you for being here with us for these 18 years… and if you were here from the start, I’m sorry for the mass amount of death by kitchen fire! But hopefully you’ve learned it’s better to make garden salads for a couple hours before trying to make mac n’ cheese (shakes fist at that demon-firestarter mac n’ cheese).

With that, we have just a few new things for you to enjoy in your game…

What’s New?

A new female hair (yes, your males can wear the hair too). The Create-a-Sim artists went all out on this one, I’m loving it! (for specifics, the asset name is yf and ymHair_EF10MedCurl).

A new Anniversary T-shirt for men and women! You can find it in Create-a-Sim under… T-shirts.

And 10 new skin tones along the cool and warm undertones to broaden the range of Sim possibilities.

…and we’ve fixed a handful of issues.

General Issues

  • Night club text invites will now only occur between 8pm and 12am (Midnight).
  • Pregnant Sims are no longer allowed to age up.
    • Fountain of youth discovered!
      • You don’t have kids, do you?
    • Fountain of youth is a hoax!
  • Deceased Sims that have been released to the netherworld will no longer appear alive in the family tree.

Vampires Issue

  • Sims will no longer perform a dance routine before a vampire attempts to drink from them.
    • Actual issue. Yep.

City Living Issue

  • Vegetarians can now safely eat a serving of Eggs and Toast without receiving negative buffs for doing so.
    • Vegans are appalled at the prospect.

Once again, Happy Anniversary, and thank you your continued support!

To go with the Anniversary Update, there are new designs available on The Sims Threadless Store! If you haven’t yet, go and check it out. There are adorable designs including these super cute plumbobs which can be ordered as a shirt, posters, phone case, throw rug, drink bottle, and so much more! I’m so glad The Sims are doing merchandise again, it makes my nerdy heart so happy. *Insert Green Plumbob Here*

For those Simmers on Consoles, there is about to be another Stuff Pack released for you. It’s the Romantic Garden Stuff Pack which is already available for us PC players, but it does add some amazing stuff into the game including the Wishing Well.

But wait; there’s MORE — Can you hear that? It sounds like a LEAK!

Origin accidentally released the description and key features for the upcoming Game Pack. We were shown a very short teaser for this game pack back in January and now we now know it as “The Sims 4 Jungle Adventures”. The information has since been removed but of course the Sims Community were hot on the information. The following was taken from The Sims VIP.

The Sims 4 Jungle Adventure

Take your Sims on a mysterious adventure into the wild and discover a new culture.

Explore a unique wilderness landscape, revealing a temple, jungle obstacles, cursed relics and treasures. Experience the culture and customs of Selvadorada, from devouring local eats to learning spicy new dance moves!

Venture to Selvadorada. Travel to Selvadorada a new destination where your Sims can befriend locals at the cantina or purchase essential survival gear. Your Sims can try traditional foods, dance to new music, practice native customs and shop for authentic décor. Dress your Sims in local fashion from outfits full of colorful patterns to durable clothing suitable for the jungle!

Explore the jungle. Sims gear up in hiking attire and prepare for danger as they trek deep into the jungle, revealing hidden pools, ancient artifact sites and ruins. Beware of natural dangers and obstacles (from deadly bees to poisonous spiders) that will surely keep your Sims on their toes!

Discover a hidden temple. Your Sims will be pleasantly surprised with what they’ll find when they stumble upon a unique temple. Venture into the mysterious rooms where Sims may find priceless relics, great treasures or doom! Have your Sims visit again to experience new challenges and uncover different treasures or traps.

Collect ancient artifacts. Uncover hidden items as Sims seek out ancient artifacts and mysterious relics. Sims can excavate and examine these precious objects closely at the archeology table, determining their quality, but watch out for fakes!

This is too much excitement for one day! I’m off to update my game and get into it.

I’ll post another update when the official trailer for The Sims 4 Jungle Adventures has been released by EA.

Happy Simming! ♢

PlayStation Plus August Games Lineup

PlayStation Plus logo

PlayStation has revealed its August lineup of free PlayStation Plus games. This month gamers can expect to receive Wipeout Omega Collection and Sniper Elite 4. These games can be downloaded on Playstation Plus on August 6.

WipEout Omega Collection

Go head to head for first place in a blistering celebration of a true PlayStation icon. Combining WipEout 2048, WipEout HD and the HD Fury expansion, all in one package, Wipeout Omega Collection brings the breakneck speed and combat thrills of the anti-grav racing franchise to PS4.

Race against the clock and other competitors to take home a podium win, unlocking dozens of ships as you progress through 26 tracks. Competition gets fiercer online, with eight players duking it out in high-speed circuits, or alternatively you can go one-on-one with a friend on the couch. Those looking for the ultimate thrill can experience the entire game, including all modes and tracks, on PlayStation VR.

Sniper Elite 4

Slip behind enemy lines and work to drive out Axis forces from the Italian peninsula. As a covert operative, reconnaissance huge, varied environments and take out enemies before setting up the perfect hit on high-ranking targets in the hunt for the Nazi super weapon that puts all of Europe at risk.

Use a mixture of traps and explosives, hazardous environments, melee takedowns and, of course, your trusty rifle to sow chaos in enemy strongholds. For even greater strategy, team up with a friend online to take down targets in the co-operative campaign mode or enjoy dedicated co-op missions for two to four players and competitive multiplayer modes for up to 12 players.
