If you just got Disney Plus and are wondering how to get Disney Plus on TV then you have come to the right place. Disney Plus is compatible with multiple devices and TV sets which means that there are many different ways regarding how to get Disney Plus on TV.

Option 1 – Owning An Android TV Or A Disney Plus Supported Smart TV

Disney Plus is new and it can be found built into a lot of newer television models and is available on TV models that use Android TV, some Sony televisions have this built in. To check if your Sony TV has Android TV, you can take a look at this guide from Sony here to determine if you have it. If you have Android TV you simply need to search within your TV to see if Disney Plus shows up. For those who own a Samsung television, Samsung says that you should be able to get Disney Plus on TV models as old as 2016 to now. There is a full list of Disney Plus compatible Samsung TV’s on the Samsung website here.

If you use an Android TV box, such as the ones available on Amazon that allow you to essentially get Android on your TV by plugging the box into it, then Disney Plus is likely to be available to download as an app as Disney Plus is available on the Google Play store.

Option 2 – Chromecast

A Chromecast is quite likely the cheapest and easiest way to get Disney Plus on your TV if you don’t own any of the other compatible devices and only have a IOS, Android Phone or Tablet. Then all you need to do is plug the Chromecast into any available HDMI slot on your TV, set it up and download the app on your phone or tablet. There will then be a little Chromecast symbol on your Disney Plus app which you simply press when watching videos and like magic it will appear on your TV.

Option 3 – Using a gaming console

Many homes already have the latest gaming consoles already inside them, so if you happen to have either a PlayStation 4 or an Xbox One in your home then you have any easy way for how to get Disney Plus on TV. All you need to do to get Disney Plus on your TV using your PlayStation 4 or Xbox is to download the App on either of the devices, sign into Disney Plus and select any of the videos there.

Option 4 – Plug in your laptop or PC into your TV

If you have a laptop that has HDMI out port on it, then what you will want to do is get a spare HDMI cable you might have laying around or purchase one from Amazon. Then simply plug one end of the cable into your laptop and the other end into a spare HDMI slot on your TV. Then you simply make the TV a second monitor on your laptop or PC. After doing so, all you need to do is open your browser, it doesn’t matter if it’s Chrome, Edge or Firefox. Sign into Disney Plus and choose any video. Put the browser window onto your TV screen and select full screen.

Option 5 – Apple TV

Disney Plus works on Apple TV but you will need to have a 4th generation Apple TV or higher. Disney Plus works on Apple TV HD 32GB, Apple TV 4K 32GB and Apple TV 4k 64GB. If you do already own one then all you need to do is add the app to your library there and sign in to start watching.

Option 6 – Firestick TV

The Firestick TV works in a similar way to a Android TV box does as it will basically turn any TV into a smart TV as long as you have a spare HDMI slot to plug it in there. Disney Plus is listed as one of the available apps on the Firestick TV so all you will need to do if you have one is to add the app to your Firestick TV and you should be able to start watching videos in the same way you would watch Netflix or any other app on the device.

Amazon’s Firestick TV is currently available for $54 and can be purchased here.

In the end there are many ways for how to get Disney Plus on TV and many options to choose from. Disney Plus is only new and it’s likely more devices will pop in the future, but most people should be able to get Disney Plus onto their TV in a similar way to how they would get Netflix, Stan or Amazon Prime there. It mostly comes down to having the right devices and what you are most comfortable with for your home theatre set up.
