The new Halloween movie has added Jamie Lee Curtis (True Lies) to dodge the blade of her murderous brother for her fifth and final time.
An image has been posted on the film’s social media accounts of Curtis standing next to a Jack-O-Lantern with her dear ol’ brother watching from afar as he clutches a knife. The actress posted the image on her social media accounts with the caption adding that she’s returning “one last time.”

Curtis was the star of the first two movies and provided an uncredited voice-only cameo role for 1982’s Michael Myers-less spinoff Halloween III: Season of the Witch. When the slasher icon returned for the fourth film, she took a break from the screaming and left the franchise to her co-star Donald Pleasance.
Pleasance kept with the franchise until his death before the release of the sixth film in 1995. Curtis stepped back up for the seventh and eighth films that were released in 1998 and 2002. The latter film, Halloween: Resurrection, [SPOILER ALERT] saw the death of her character [END SPOILERS]. Co-writer Danny McBride (Eastbound & Down) said the new movie is a continuation of the first two films in an interview with Business Insider.
The franchise was rebooted after Resurrection by writer-director-musician Rob Zombie for 2007’s Halloween and 2009’s Halloween II. The series has remained dormant since. This new movie marks the eleventh for the franchise and the third to be called “Halloween.”
David Gordon Green (Pineapple Express) is directing the movie and co-writing the script with McBride. John Carpenter (The Fog), who directed, co-wrote and scored the original film and produced its first two sequels, will executive produce the film. In a Facebook post in February, he even suggested he might score it too. That’s still a possibility as of Sunday when Green said Carpenter is still interested in composing at the Toronto International Film Festival, according to a Business Insider writer on Twitter.
