Marvel’s next Netflix series, Jessica Jones, will premiere all 13 episodes on Friday November 20, 2015, according to a promo video from Marvel’s official YouTube channel.
The show is based on the comic book series Alias about former superhero turned private investigator Jessica Jones. Krysten Ritter plays the titular character. You may remember her from Breaking Bad as Jesse Pinkman’s landlord Jane, Gia Goodman from Veronica Mars, or more recently in Tim Burton’s Big Eyes.
The series also stars ex-Doctor David Tennant as the villainous Kilgrave, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, and Rachael Taylor as Trish Walker.
Marvel debuted their first Netflix series earlier this year with the critically acclaimed Daredevil. Season 2 on that show is currently underway and expected to drop in 2016. Also set to debut sometime next year is Marvel’s Luke Cage series with Mike Colter reprising his role from Jessica Jones. An Iron Fist series will follow and Netflix’s finest superheroes will all team up for the crossover series, The Defenders.
Now if you need me I’m going to rewatch Daredevil Season 1 in anticipation.
