Happy New Year! Well to kick off the new year both Sony and Microsoft have announced their free games for the month of January for Playstation Plus and Xbox Live Gold members.

This above video shows games for North America. Sadly for those in Europe or Australia Bioshock Infinite or Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons won’t be available. Don’t fret! In response (in addition to DmC and Don’t Starve) Soul Sacrifice (PSV), Borderlands 2 (PS3), and Blazblue Continuum Shift Extended will be available. Don’t Starve won’t be available until January 8th, while the others are available now.
Microsoft is bringing Sleeping Dogs and Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light to the table. Sleeping Dogs is often cited as an underrated game; those who have played it really end up liking it. Sleeping Dogs is available today in all territories until the 15th and on the 16th you will be able to play Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light.
