NEWS The Sims 4 Patch Update September 2019

This week The Sims 4 celebrated their fifth year anniversary. The latest patch includes a slew of free content to add to The Sims 4 PC Base Game.

Back in 2014 a game was released… Some people considered the game to be incomplete. However, with patience the developers have worked hard to provide ongoing updates with lots of free additions to make sure the game is kept current.

Last week, Sim Guru Graham and Sim Guru Lindsay presented us with new Build and Buy Mode items and new Create-A-Sim clothing and accessories to celebrate the 5 year milestone; but the main event is the new tool which allows simmers to fully customise stairs.

The Sims community are very vocal about what they want added to their game, and one of the most requested items are “spiral staircases”. While this is not quite what the doctor ordered, the ability to be able to customise stairs is remarkable. This tool has never been a feature in any previous Sims builds and gives us the ability to pull, push and rotate any staircase in the game.

Build Mode and Buy Mode Freebies

As the Northern Hemisphere is coming to the end of the summer season, we are about to enter it. What perfect timing for some new outdoor items; thank you Sim Gurus! New items including; an outdoor set featuring super funky, “retro” sims designs including Grilled Cheese, Flamingos and Plumbobs. In Build Mode we have been gifted with new fences, foundations and they even light up in the dark. I cant write this article without mentioning the super cute new Gnome side table. It’s time to bring back the Gnomes.

Middle Eastern Themed Objects

Traditional Muslim Styled Content

Over the last couple of years, The Sims team have been adding diverse content for free. More and more international and cultural options have become available. The latest patch adds Muslim traditional clothing and build items. While working along side fashion designers, the Sims team have created new clothing for adults and children. New Hijab headwear, which can be added to style any outfit, traditional dress for children and the male sims have a knitted keffiyeh to complement a high collar shirt. All perfect for surviving those hot days in Oasis Springs.

The new architecture set is beautiful and will allow simmers to create and design with the Middle East in mind. Content includes; pointed arch… everything. Doors, windows, open archways all with beautiful wooden details. Being the Disney addict I am, I cant wait to get in and use the new DLC to recreate Aladdin in my game.

More information about the patch is on the EA Games Sims website.
