Pokémon X and Y Release Date, New Type, New Feature, New Trailer
Nintendo revealed that “Pokémon X and Y” will hit 3DS on October 12, 2013 worldwide. More details were given about the game including a new type of Pokémon, Fairy. A new feature called “Pokémon-Aime” which is a Nintendogs-esque pet simulator where you can feed and pet your Pokémon was also shown off. A new gameplay trailer was shown which details the Fairy type and shows off the new “Pokémon-Aime” feature. Check it out below.

New 3D Mario Revealed, New Suit, First Trailer
Nintendo’s Mario 3D Wii U game is revealed to be “Super Mario 3D World” and has a release window of December 2013. The game will feature four player co-op with the characters being Mario, Toad, Luigi, and Princess Peach. Each character will also have different abilities (Toad runs faster, Peach can float, etc.) similar to the likes of “Super Mario Bros. 2.” A new suit was shown where Mario collects a Gold Bell and turns into a cat. Wearing the cat suit will allow you to pounce on enemies and scale walls (including the end level pole). A trailer was shown showing off the four player co-op and cat suit. Check it out below.

New Mario Kart Wii U Revealed, New Kart Type, First Trailer
The new Mario Kart Wii U game is revealed to be “Mario Kart 8” which has a release window of Spring 2014. The kart racer has a new kart in the form of a Hover Kart which allows the racer to ride along walls and upside down. The kart is automatically activated during a race similar to the glider and propellers from “Mario Kart 7” which also return along with the Bikes from “Mario Kart Wii.” Its first trailer was shown showing off the Hover Kart and can be viewed below.
“Mario Kart 8” is a Wii U exclusive and will be released Spring 2014.

“Wii Party U” and “Wii Fit U” Delayed
Nintendo has delayed “Wii Party U” to October 2013 and “Wii Fit U” to Winter. “Wii Party U” was originally intended to be released this Summer while “Wii Fit U” was due out in Wii U’s launch window and later changed to the first half of 2013.
“Wii Party U” and “Wii Fit U” are Wii U exclusive titles and will be released in October 2013 and Winter respectively.
New Art Academy Game for Wii U Announced
Nintendo announced a new Art Academy game is coming to Wii U in response to the art that has been posted in Miiverse.
“Wind Waker HD” Release Windows, Tingle Turner Tweaked, New Trailer
“The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD” has the release windows of September for Japan and October for the West. Nintendo also revealed changes to the Tingle Turner from the original “Wind Waker.” Instead of connecting to your Game Boy Advance, the Tingle Turner allows players to write messages in-game through Miiverse which will appear as bottles in the game. A new trailer was shown which can be viewed below.

Wonderful 101 Adds Multiplayer, New Trailer
Five player co-op has been added to “The Wonderful 101” where each player will have their own superhero squad. A new trailer was also shown which can be viewed below.
“The Wonderful 101” is a Wii U exclusive and will be released in August 23 in Europe, August 24 in Japan and Australia, and September 15 in North America.

Retro’s Newest Game Revealed, First Trailer
Retro’s new game is “Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.” The game involves vikings invading Donkey Kong’s island and you’ll have to stop them. The game is 2D but has different camera angles and sees the return of Dixie Kong. The game has a release window of November 2013.

New “Bayonetta 2” Trailer
“Bayonetta 2” is a Wii U exclusive and will be released in 2014.

New Smash Bros. Characters, New Trailers, Release Windows
Mega Man and “The Villager” from “Animal Crossing” are new characters in the Wii U and 3DS Smash Bros. games. Stages from each franchise are also confirmed and even showed off in the trailers below.
Both 3DS and Wii U Smash Bros. games are coming in 2014.
