Universal Pictures has released a new trailer for Other Mommy, the horror film starring Jessica Chastain, ahead of its cinema release on 8 October.
The story centres on Bela, a young girl who develops a relationship with a sinister entity in her home. The entity bears an unsettling resemblance to her mother.
Chastain plays both Bela’s mother and Other Mommy, a manifestation of the entity. Arabella Olivia Clark plays Bela, while Jay Duplass appears as her father, Daddo. The supporting cast includes Dichen Lachman, Arian Moayed and Karen Allen.
Rob Savage directs the film from a screenplay by Nathan Elston, adapted from Josh Malerman’s novel Incidents Around the House.
James Wan produces the film through Blumhouse Atomic Monster. Michael Clear, Judson Scott, Savage, Malerman and Ryan Lewis are executive producers.
