Captain Jack Sparrow will sail the seven seas on July 7, 2017.
This comes six years after the last film, On Stranger Tides, opened and exactly 11 years after Dead Man’s Chest opened on July 7, 2006. This will also be the first Pirates film since the second installment to not open in May.
No other film is currently slated for July 7, although the rest of the month is chock full of heavy hitters. The Fantastic Four 2 (July 14), Untitled Fox Animation (July 21), and Untitled Marvel (July 28) will all give Pirates 5 a run for its money.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man Tell No Tales comes from directors Joachim Renning and Espen Sandberg (Oscar nominated directors of Kon-Tiki).
