Project Greenlight was a reality show where Ben Affleck and Matt Damon served as mentors for an up-and-coming filmmaker during their first production. The first two seasons aired from 2001-2003 on HBO with the third season airing on Bravo in 2005. After a decade, the Emmy-nominated
reality documentary series is back.
The first half of the trailer gives off the message that the show is distancing itself from being a reality show with Affleck even saying, “It’s not a reality show, we’re looking to more deeply understand filmmaking”. Since the second half of the trailer is straight-up reality show drama, we’ll just have to see what kind of show Project Greenlight is trying to be when the first episode of the fourth season airs on September 13 back on the series’ home on HBO.
