Ubisoft has revealed Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Tactics, a new single-player, turn-based tactical game set in the Rainbow Six universe. The announcement was made during Opening Night Live 2026.
The game will be available through Ubisoft+ and on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, GeForce Now and PC. Its PC release will be offered through Ubisoft Connect, Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Players will take the role of Six, commander of the Rainbow unit, and lead teams of up to four operators. Ubisoft said this will be the first time in the franchise that players have stepped into the command role.
From Rainbow’s headquarters, players will assess intelligence, assign operators and upgrade their base before deploying a squad. Turn-based encounters will involve operator abilities, reconnaissance tools, gadgets and destructible environments.
The main progression loop moves between selecting missions, preparing operators, completing encounters and returning to headquarters to train the team, review intelligence and strengthen Rainbow’s capabilities.
Squads can be assembled from a roster of 15 operators from Rainbow Six Siege. Each operator has distinct abilities, specialised gadgets and a skill tree.
The campaign will include dozens of missions in locations around the world, with objectives including hostage rescue, bomb disposal and target elimination. Players will be able to break walls to create sightlines, remove cover and open alternative entry points.
A Breach feature will allow all operators to act simultaneously during a coordinated assault, temporarily changing the turn-based flow as the squad enters a new area.
Rainbow Six Tactics can now be added to wishlists through Ubisoft Connect, Steam, the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Ubisoft+ and GeForce Now availability is planned for launch.
