It’s here. It’s finally here!! The Simmers of the world can finally complete their simulated life goals with the addition of Cats and Dogs into their families on November 11th 2017.
After what felt like a drought of news from EA regarding the next expansion pack, there was a lot of speculation about “Pets”and when they would be added to The Sims 4. After some (fake) leaked renders, hidden Easter eggs in Patch Update details, and a whole lot of nagging from the Community — we now have an expansion pack to be considered one of the most anticipated announcement ever.
Unfortunately I could not attend Gamescom personally, but I watched the presentation at 2am to confirm the rumours of the new “Cats And Dogs” themed expansion pack for The Sims 4.
SimguruLyndsay announced the exciting news at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, early Tuesday morning and there were tears, excitement and tantrums with some users being banned from the EA Live Chat following the news. Along with the Expansion Pack announcement, Lyndsay also talked about the Sims 4 coming to consoles, also in November and with The Sims 4 Toddlers Stuff pack; I think it’s safe to say this year has been the most amazing year for simmers and gamers everywhere! Whoever is driving the decisions at EA/Maxis is doing an exceptional job and it will definitely pay off for them come Christmas.
Not only can you customise number of breeds, but you can also mix two breeds together in the new Create a Pet mode which features the return of the Colour Wheel (from The Sims 3) to create the most colourful and interesting species possible! There will be a new world to explore in The Sims 4 Cats and Dogs and also a new Veterinary Career to care for the family’s puss or pooch. Along with traits, new interactions and animations; The Sims 4 Cats and Dogs will be a popular Expansion Pack to the games legacy.

The Sims 4 Cats and Dogs will be available on the 11th of November, followed by The Sims 4 on PS4 and Xbox One on the 18th of November. Not before The Sims 4 Toddlers Stuff which will be available this Friday on Origin.
