Congratulations, you have just become parents of your own little ball of Sims clay.
The first time in The Sims franchise, you can Influence, Discipline and Encourage your children Sims and guide them through their most important time of their lives! The new Game Pack for “The Sims 4” was released today, and as I mentioned in my previous post I was very excited. The Sims team created so much hype for their release with 3 trailers in one week, and a Game Play live stream on their own Twitch account.
My Review on “The Sims 4: Parenthood” Game Pack
Aside from the usual Create A Sim, Build and Buy Mode Content, we also have some exceptionally fun, challenging and completely unique game play. “The Sims 4: Parenthood” introduces a new social branch that is exclusive to Sim parents. You guessed it, “Parenting”. Under this tab you can Encourage Good (or Bad) Behaviour, Teach Manners and Empathy, Ground, Yell at or simply “Express Disappointment” for your offspring’s actions. (And isn’t that the worst of all!) Not only do all of these new socials inflict a positive or negative outcome on the child’s upbringing, but as you support the little ones through life’s greatest obstacles, your Parents will also gain levels for the new Parenting Skill as they head towards the title of “Super Parent” in the new aspiration.
But what does this mean anyway? Why does this even matter?
New “Character Values” determine your children’s future! There are 11 new traits included in Parenthood of which you will have to unlock, which means you actually have to do some work! (Click here for more details on the new traits from The Sims Community.) Encouraging good behaviour will promote positive Traits such as “Good Manners” or “Compassionate” where as celebrating negative actions may incur a bad trait such as “Argumentative” or “Uncontrolled Emotions” which will stick to your Sim for the rest of his/her life! The game play options are almost unlimited, bringing a whole lot more to this life simulator.
Thank you EA for this review opportunity! I can’t wait to create some seriously malfunctioning families! It just leaves one question…. What kind of Parent will you be? Take the Quiz!!
“The Sims 4: Parenthood” is available NOW for download from EA Origin!
