Revolution is an interesting program as it has quite a diverse mixture of fighting scenes, weapons and stunts throughout the show. Characters are seen to use guns, swords, brass knuckles, cross bows, arrows and their own fists when fighting each other during the combat scenes.

Below is an interesting behind the scenes look at how these scenes are done in the show. It also contains some interesting commentary from the lead actors and people involved in making the scenes happen.

The TV show  mixes old technology with modern ideas. Having no electricity meant returning to the old ways. Sword fighting and horse riding became common. While computers, phones or vehicles became obsolete. However some guns are still able to be used. It will be interesting to see how the show develops throughout the second season as electricity and its resurgence inside the Monroe empire become much more prevalent.

Having seen season one without much technology to the characters one can notice how much technology has been influencing our lives. Even the importance of having a train. Characters are walking all over the place for days to arrive at certain locations. Season 2 should see more of this which is good as it makes the show different to others. It is not a show about the past but one of the future. With characters that once had luxuries of technology with them, while others have grown up with none at all. Having the mix in season 2 with some characters like Monroe seeming to have helicopters should be interesting to watch. Especially how they will continue to do scenes in the show, with these added elements becoming available.

Below you can watch a scene from the program. There is quite a lot of tension in the show before a fight scene commences. It’s visually tense as well, men with guns intimidating a girl with a crossbow out hunting. Horses make the show almost feel like a western but it’s clear it’s far from that.
