Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment will bring The Irregular at Magic High School The Movie – Yotsuba Succession Arc to Australian cinemas from 29 October 2026.
The anime fantasy film will screen exclusively in cinemas and will be available in Japanese with English subtitles and dubbed in English.
The story follows magician siblings Tatsuya and Miyuki during their second year at Magic High School. They receive an invitation to a New Year’s Banquet at the Yotsuba Clan’s head manor, where the clan’s next head will be announced.
Miyuki is concerned about being selected because becoming head would require her to marry and could end the time she spends alongside Tatsuya. However, taking the position could also allow her to change Tatsuya’s status as a Guardian.
Yotsuba Succession Arc is the second feature film in The Irregular at Magic High School franchise and continues the story after its third television season, which aired in 2024.
Jimmy Stone directs the film, which is based on an original story by Tsutomu Sato published through Dengeki Bunko. Eight Bit is handling animation production.
