Just who ended up becoming the director for the new Star Wars movies? It was J.J Abrams of course a surprising choice as he is also the director for the Star Trek reboot based on the original series.
The announcement was made on the official star wars website in which George Lucas said “I’ve consistently been impressed with J.J. as a film-maker and storyteller.” He’s an ideal choice to direct the new Star Wars film and the legacy couldn’t be in better hands.”
It will be interesting to see what type of style and tone Abrams decides to take with Star Wars. Just what changes will come to fruition and what will the plot focus on. How similar will it be to Star Trek’s style and tone?
