High Fashion and Fashion Photography, The Sims 4 Moschino Stuff is giving me their best side.
Moschino is an Italian Leather Fashion Label, famous for their Moschino Bear label and collaborations with other fashion brands — so what’s this got to do with The Sims 4? The latest release from The Sims is a collaboration with Moschino. The Sims 4 Moschino Stuff; aka “The Sims 4 Fashion Photography and Fashion… stuff”.
My personal opinion is this — I enjoy the fact that Moschino and The Sims are working together to bring a different audience, touching on the “theme” of celebrity and high-end living. This can fit very nicely with other packs in The Sims 4 franchise. Such as; City Living, Get Together and Get Famous. Still, I don’t get fancy brands. I don’t have money to pay for the stuff, so I’ll sit here and pick at the disintegrating pleather of my Kmart jacket while I write this review. With low expectations, I strike a pose and prepare to take the runway with The Sims 4 and Moschino.
Details; one of the first things I look at when it comes to a pack. If you’re clever, you can make your own “black leather jacket” and use it in the game as Custom Content, but what makes this different. Possibly, the fact that it’s MOSCHINO? Again, I don’t understand, but I likey the details in the DLC this time.
In Create-A-Sim we have approximately 40-50 new clothing, hair, accessories and shoes. But, only available for Young Adult and Adult Sims. Sorry toddlers, kids, you miss out again — at least the Elders can get themselves into Italian Leather. (Still hoping for an Elders pack — bring on the Bingo in my new Moschino boots baby!) However, in this chaos of colours and patterns, we do have some great staples for some wearable sims couture. The details in the leather jackets are especially great. I am personally in love with the Leather Skirt and Jacket Set. In SO many colours! I will take one in each colour thanks MOSCHINO.
Every pack has a couple of duds. This time I believe it is the “slick back” hairstyle. Please wash your hair, I can smell it through the screen. Next up on the down list is a clown shirt. Not only are clowns terrifying enough, but this shirt is also nightmare fuel. Unless your name is Tragic Clown, it’s a no from me.
Build Mode and Buy Mode
This is a fashion collaboration – I feel like there are plenty of items in this stuff pack too. New wallpapers with gorgrous textures, big open windows that are perfect for that penthouse in the sky and a new living room “set” is giving me all the “New York Fashion Scene” feeling. Dahh-ling.
My personal favourite has to be the items that relate to the photographer career that is also added in this pack. As I mentioned earlier, this pack is actually called “The Sims 4: Fashion Photography and Fashion Stuff”. We are spoilt with a new Freelancer career path; Fashion Photographer and I am sold. The items that come along include a giant backdrop, a simple backdrop (different to the one from Get to Work, I promise), lighting, a tripod that can be easily put in your sims back pocket for on the go work and a new feature which allows you to take photos of multiple sims at a time — and they pose together. It is seriously, awesome.Bonus! All Sims 4 players can now drag a photo frame from the wall and place it on a surface. I know a lot of simmers have been waiting for this one since the Strangerville trailer launch.
If I was ever going to slander a Sims pack I thought it might be this one, but I have been proved wrong. I mean, I’m not saying it’s my favourite stuff pack OF ALL TIME — but it’s definitely better than some.
