CD PROJEKT RED has announced The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered will launch on 29 September 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A native Nintendo Switch 2 version and a Battle.net release are also scheduled for the same day.
The Remastered edition will be offered as a free upgrade to existing The Witcher 3 owners on qualifying platforms. It introduces changes to visuals, performance and gameplay, including enhanced combat, improved traversal and movement, updated witcher sign effects, revised mount handling, enhanced monster behaviours, a revamped skill tree, transmogrification, an expanded photo mode and new finishers.
Current owners of The Witcher 3 now also have access to Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine at no additional cost.
Songs of the Past revealed for 2027
CD PROJEKT RED also shared a first look at Songs of the Past, a paid expansion due in 2027 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. It is available to wishlist across select platforms.
The expansion takes Geralt to Letten, a new region presented as an idyllic land of rural tradition and folklore with a dark secret beneath the surface. Geralt will use new abilities and a new chain weapon as he faces new enemies, reunites with old friends and makes decisions with consequences.
CD PROJEKT RED is co-developing Songs of the Past with Fool’s Theory, while The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered is being co-developed with Yigsoft.
The Battle.net release is part of a partnership between CD PROJEKT RED and Blizzard Entertainment. Players who buy Songs of the Past on Battle.net will receive a Geralt-inspired skin in Diablo 4, with more details planned for BlizzCon in September.
