The nominations for the 22nd Screen Actors Guild Awards were announced Wednesday morning.
With three nominations, Trumbo, the Dalton Trumbo biopic with Bryan Cranston in the titular role, received the most nominations for any film. Cranston and Helen Mirren scored nominations for leading actor and supporting actress respectively, with both securing another nomination with the cast for “Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.”
On the TV side, Game of Thrones, Homeland, and House of Cards led the pack with three nomin each. Also with three nominations are Helen Mirren and Idris Elba. Aside from the two Trumbo nominations, Mirren is nominated as a leading actress for Woman in Gold. For his work in Beasts of No Nation, Elba received nominations for supporting actor and cast, while Luther gave the thesp his third nom of the night for a male actor in a TV movie or miniseries.
Films with two nominations include Beasts of No Nation, The Big Short, Carol, The Danish Girl, Room, Spotlight, and Steve Jobs. The television programs that received two nominations are The Big Bang Theory, Downton Abbey, Mad Men, Modern Family, Orange is the New Black, Transparent, and Veep.

Carol Burnett was announced as the recipient of the 52nd Annual SAG Life Achievement Award in July. The Golden Globe and Emmy-winning comedienne started off on The Garry Moore Show before her work on the variety series The Carol Burnett Show, which ran for 11 seasons in the 60’s and 70’s and took home 25 Emmy awards, three of which went to Burnett. She has never received a nomination for a SAG Award.
The 22nd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will be held January 30, 2016.
