Vikings Season 5 Australian Release Date Trailer
Long time fans of Michael Hirst might be pleased to know that Jonathan Rhys Meyers who was the lead in Hirst’s, The Tudors, will be appearing in Vikings season 5 as Bishop Heahmund. We did see a small preview of this character at the end of the last season, but I’m curious to see what this one might do in the show this year. Season 5 will also see the return of Katheryn Winnick, Gustaf Skarsgård, Alex Høgh Andersen and Alexander Ludwig as well as many others.
This season of the show will see the focus placed on Ragnar’s remaining sons who have now grown up and have acquired quite a lot of power. There is also some focus on Lagertha who now rules in Kategatt, which Ivar likely despises. The trailers for the show so far have indicated that there might be a possible civil war in the Viking world, with Ivar and Lagertha looking to be the centre of much of the tension. Although one must not forget the movements of King Harald who still lingers and we all know what he seeks.
If you’re in the US the show will premiere tonight (November 29).
