The show originally premiered on Netflix in December of 2019 and it is expected by us that the second season will appear on Netflix in December this year if the show were to follow its first season release date pattern. No exact release date has been set for the show, but this post will be updated when we get the exact Virgin River Season 2 Australia Release Date.
Virgin River has already been renewed by Netflix for a second season and filming is currently underway. Netflix was quite pleased with the show when it originally aired and it got a very quick renewal for a second season. It’s very popular and fans love it, including myself.

Has the cast or crew said anything about the Virgin River Season 2?
There have been a few posts on social media from the Virgin River Instagram account, showing us that season that season 2 is underway. It was announced that Sarah Dugdale is joining the Virgin River with the post saying “Lizzie is coming to Virgin River Season 2 in 2020!’
There was also another instagram post from Sarah Dugtale’s account about an article on Deadline which tells us that Grayson Gurnsey who played Ricky in the first season is now going to be a series regular in season 2. With him there as a season regular, it seems we’ll be seeing a lot more from his character when season two returns at the end of this year.
Update June 12: In more cast and crew news, it’s been reported by Deadline that Ben Hollingsworth who played Dan Brady in season 1, will be returning in season 2 as a series regular. It looks we’re going to see a lot more from this character in the future.
In other news, IMDB has the second season of Virgin River as a 10 episode season, with a 2020 release date. But no exact date for the show, but at least we know we’re going to getting 10 episodes this year!
