Warhammer End Times: Vermintide Review

Fast-paced, Multiplayer Co-op, First Person, Hack and Slash, action and gore… I mean, you’re slicing and dicing hordes of Mutant Rat dudes with glowing red eyes and bulging muscles. What’s therapy when you can have this as a form of stress release?

Warhammer End Times: Vermintide” has been available on PC for a while now, but recently made its debut on the Next Gen consoles; PS4 and Xbox One. Keeping the same style, there have been some improvements such as more looting and better online gameplay. Fans of the Warhammer series, fans of the “Left 4 Dead” franchise, and those who live to online game… I urge you to give this one a go.

There are 5 characters to play, each with their own weapon and skills set. Once you select your character, you enter a cottage and head to the map to choose your level.  Each area has a goal, lots of loot and the maps are huge. However, I found that without a marker, check point or map to follow, it can get a little chaotic and stressful. When I said hordes of enemies…. I mean, there are literally waves of them and lots of mutant blood going everywhere.  The best way to experience Warhammer Vermintide is to play with your mates. Online or offline mulitplayer co-op allows you to choose your characters wisely and have a solid game plan in order to create the best scenario for a successful game.
