Up until now, all we’ve seen of Bloodborne were cinematic trailers. Beautiful and atmospheric trailers, but cinematic nonetheless. With all the Demon/Dark Souls comparisons, without gameplay its hard to see how Bloodborne can stand up to the Souls series, and in what ways. Fear not! What awaits you in the video is 100% in-game footage.
Fans of the series will notice some gameplay/movement similarities, as well as the HUD layout. It looks to challenge players, but just how difficult the game is won’t be known until release. There is plenty to look forward to, as the news and previews about Bloodborne have been extremely positive (unlike The Order: 1886). Oh… and there’s blood… a lot of blood.
Currently the only the Japanese release date is known; February 5th 2014. Localization for games can vary, but when talking about first party games, they tend to get localized pretty quickly. Australia, North America, and Europe will likely see the game mid-late February, March at the latest… hopefully.
