It’s that time again, where we get to have our say and influence the Community Stuff Pack. This time the Sim Guru’s are letting us in with a sneak peak at some concept art for “furniture and items” that will (hopefully) be included in the Stuff Pack that (might be) released this year.
We have already voted on the following attributes to the next community stuff pack;
*Vote 1 Results – Arts & Crafts was the top-voted theme with a game-play focus on Knitting.
Vote 2 Results – DIY Delight, a functional minimalist art studio with the bright colors of a candy store, was the top-voted art-style.
Vote 3 Results – See the 15 Create-A-Sim items that will be created by The Sims 4 team.
*Taken from the fourth vote survey page.
The last vote was for the Create-A-Sim options. I expected the results. I’m never enthused to see the same style outfits being repeated. Because that’s apparently what the majority of players want. The same things. Again and again…
Today we can select up to 28 Build and Buy mode objects that may or may not be included in this pack. The best part is that some of the options will be only gained by CRAFTING THEM! I love it! There are also a bunch of options which will appear in Build Mode and Buy Mode like normal items.
And the best new item, in my opinion, is the addition of a rocking chair. My fingers are crossed for some cute, family-orientated animations to complement it. Speaking of cute; some of these options are “squee” inducing. Adorable toys, household storage, plants, curtains and decorations. Think; pink, fluffy, lace, crochet, bows and pom-poms — Nanna would be pretty content to have these items to decorate her house.
So, if you have a spare 5 minutes, jump to this link and pick some really cosy, cute and creative items and they might appear in the pack!

At the same time, SimGuruConor has opened up a forum topic about Knitting Game-play, a new skill to be added in this upcoming pack. I loved reading the ideas and feedback that came from some of the Simmers who regular the Forums.
Knitting Discussion on The Sims Official Forums
Most of the questions are regarding game-play, autonomous interactions, skill building and interactions with sims. The amount of detail the Sims team are going into is starting to get me super excited for this really unique pack.
Although, I’m ready for an announcement for something else soon…
Hopefully this pack isn’t a YARN, I guess WOOL just have to wait and see…
