This week on Blu-ray: Australia nets one new release while America nets that release and two others. Does America’s extra titles weigh them down though? Let’s find out:
AUSTRALIA RELEASES
The Hangover Part III arrives on Blu-ray this week. The Todd Phillips comedy had a $103 million budget and made $351 million worldwide making the film a box office success. We thought the movie was just okay, you can read that review right here.

AMERICA RELEASES
After Earth lands on Blu-ray this week. The M. Night Shyamalan sci-fi had a $130 million budget and made $243.8 million worldwide making the film a mild box office success.

The Purge comes to Blu-ray this week. The James DeMonaco thriller had a $3 million budget and made $87 million worldwide making the film a box office success.

That’s it for this week on Blu-ray. According to Rotten Tomatoes, The Hangover Part III gave Australia a 19% this week while America’s three films average out to 34% making America the winner. The highest rated film was The Purge with a 38% average while the lowest was After Earth with an 11%. Do you plan on picking up any of these titles?
