This week on Blu-ray: Australia pays catch-up on three titles while getting another before America while America plays catch-up on one title while getting two more. Who has the better selection though? Let’s find out:
AUSTRALIA RELEASES
Admission comes to Blu-ray this week after America received it way back in July. The Tina Fey-Paul Rudd comedy drama had a $13 million budget and made $18 million in the box office making the film a mild box office success. The Blu-ray comes with an Ultraviolet copy.

Elysium comes to Blu-ray this week. The Matt Damon sci-fi had a $115 million budget and made $286.1 million worldwide making the film a box office success. The Blu-ray comes with an Ultraviolet copy. We consider Elysium as one of the best movies of the year. Read that review right here.

The Heat comes to Blu-ray this week after America received it in October. The Sandra Bullock-Melissa McCarthy comedy had a $43 million budget and currently has $229.7 million worldwide making the film a box office success. Two Blu-rays are available: one with an Ultraviolet copy and one without.

Now You See Me comes to Blu-ray this week after America received it in September. The ensemble thriller had a $75 million budget and made $351.7 million worldwide making the film a box office success.

AMERICA RELEASES
Battle of the Year comes to Blu-ray this week. The Josh Peck-Chris Brown drama had a $20 million budget and made $14.1 million worldwide making the film a box office failure. Two different Blu-rays are available: one with a Digital and Ultraviolet copy and another with just a 3D copy, Digital, and Ultraviolet (no 2D copy is available with the 3D copy).

Despicable Me 2 comes to Blu-ray this week. The Steve Carrell-Kristen Wiig animation had a $76 million budget and currently has $918.5 million worldwide making the film a box office success. Fast & Furious 6 comes to Blu-ray this week after Australia received it in October. The Vin Diesel-Paul Walker action film had a $160 million budget and made $788.6 million worldwide making the film a box office success. The Blu-ray comes with a DVD, Digital, and Ultraviolet copy. That’s it for this week on Blu-ray. According to Rotten Tomatoes, Australia’s films average out to 56% while America’s average out to 50% making Australia the winner.
