Blu-ray Releases 9/29/13 – 10/5/13

This week on Blu-ray: Australia nets one new release while America gets two. Who has the best titles? Let’s find out:

AUSTRALIAN RELEASES

Fast & Furious 6 arrives on Blu-ray this week. Justin Lin’s action flick had a $160 million budget and made $788.6 million worldwide making the film a box office success. We loved Fast & Furious 6 and you can check out that review right here. The Blu-ray comes with an Ultraviolet copy.

AMERICAN RELEASES

The Croods comes to Blu-ray this week. Kirk De Micco’s and Chris Sanders’ animation had a $135 million budget and made $585.1 million worldwide making the film a box office success. A 3D and a 2D version are available, both coming with DVDs and Ultraviolet copies.

This Is the End comes to Blu-ray this week. Evan Goldberg’s and Seth Rogen’s comedy had a $32 million budget and made $121.3 million worldwide making the film a box office success. We loved This Is the End and you can read that review right here. The Blu-ray comes with a DVD and Ultraviolet copy.

That’s it for this week on Blu-ray. Fast & Furious 6 has a 69% on Rotten Tomatoes while America’s films have a Rotten Tomatoes average of 77% making America the winner this week. The highest rated film was This Is the End with an 84% and the lowest was a tie between Fast & Furious 6 and The Croods which both have 69%. Do you plan on picking up any of these titles?
