An incredibly dry week for movies is also a mostly dry week for Blu-rays.
VIDEO GAMES
It pains me to say that there aren’t any notable titles coming out this week. That’s July for ya.
Minor releases include: Freedom Planet for Win, Mac, and Lin.
BLU-RAYS
Rio 2 comes to Blu-ray shelves this week. Two different Blu-rays are available: one with a 3D copy and one without. Both versions come with DVD and Ultraviolet copies. There are also two retailer deals for Rio 2. Buying the film at Target gets you a plush toy and buying the film at Wal-Mart gets you a bracelet. NOTE: Both Target and Wal-Mart deals aren’t 3D versions, just 2D. Also, getting the plush toy from Target appears to be a cheaper option than just buying the regular Blu-ray ($24.99 regular vs. $20.99 with plush) and getting the bracelet from Wal-Mart is a more expensive option ($22.96 regular vs. $24.96 with bracelet). PRICES MAY VARY IN STORES!
