If you are like me and you just purchased a copy of Grid 2019 on steam and the game just has a black screen when you launch it, then closes with an error saying “Access violation at address 0x785e22a0 in module ‘Grid_dx12.exe’+ 0x62222a0” then there may be a way to solve it.
While looking online there was basically no information out there for this error except for other people experiencing it and I did try to change multiple graphics settings to no avail and read through many people’s forum posts online. Couldn’t find anything to get it working. To be honest, this had me stuck all day and made me very frustrated with the game.
What I did in the end that worked for me and I do hope this works for other people. Is I turned off my Anti-Virus and closed it. Once I did this, my game launched for me without any problems at all.
I hope that turning off the Anti-Virus works for other people with the same issue as I had. It really sucks to buy a game and have it not even launch and worse that that there isn’t really any solution I have seen online. I saw so many other people posting about the same problem by couldn’t find a solution. Hopefully this helps everyone that’s trying to play Grid 2019.
