Henford-On-Bagley is a quaint, country town and like all country towns, it’s complemented by the colourful characters who live there. Build relationships with the locals — the Mayor, the Barkeep, the Shopkeepers and other familiar faces from The Sims franchise. Offer your Help to them by running daily errands and they will pay you accordingly. This gives a cute Roleplaying aspect to The Sims 4 which I really enjoy. A very cute change to the traditional Sims gameplay we know.
It’s the Simple Life for your sims with their own “sustainable” farm with new animals and gardening opportunities! With the addition of new animals such as; Farming animals — chickens, cows and llamas — and wild animals such as birds, bunnies and foxes roam the land. The new Simple Living “Lot Challenge” means you must do your best to “live off the land”. Your Sims wont be able to cook any food unless you have the correct ingredients on hand or in your fridge. Luckily we can order a grocery delivery for those slow days on the ranch! Sims can collect eggs and milk from the new animals, grow oversized vegetables to eat, sell or show at the Weekly Fair in the Henford-On-Bagley town square.

Create a Sim is delivering cosy looks with the addition of cute “cottage-core” aesthetics. Details like bows, frills, overalls, embroidery and warm layering give us the “on the farm” style. There’s everything from petticoats to pigtails in this country-chic pack and it’s not all for the girls. The masculine options are just as charming. Giving vibes straight out of “the Secret Garden” — you too can look like you’re destined for chimney sweeping with the male clothing options including gumboots for the whole family!

The Sims 4 Cottage Living brings the country to the sims in the best way — about building cute (structurally sound for all piggy’s) cottages, farm houses, barns, “of the grid” or a tree-house fit for a fairy.
The new build mode and buy mode objects are so pretty! Lots of detail and quite a lot of swatches, colours, wood textures. Rapunzel, let your hair down — there are so many new windows to fulfil your fairy tale fantasy. I love the cute decorations and clutter; teapots, mushroom stools, gnomes. Now, to go back through all my old builds to update them with the real-deal “cottage-core” items.
