Blu-ray Releases: 3/23/14 – 3/29/14

This week on Blu-ray: Australia has one lone release while America has three. Who has the best selection though? Let’s find out:

AUSTRALIA RELEASES

Bad Grandpa comes to Blu-ray this week. The Johnny Knoxville Oscar-nominated comedy had a $15 million budget and made $150.9 million worldwide. The Blu-ray doesn’t appear to come with any DVD or digital copies.

AMERICA RELEASES

Delivery Man comes to Blu-ray this week. The Vince Vaughn comedy had a $26 million budget and made $51.1 million worldwide. The Blu-ray comes with a digital copy.

Walking with Dinosaurs walks home to Blu-ray this week. The animation had an $80 million budget and currently has $125.5 million worldwide. Two Blu-rays are available: one with a 3D copy and one without, but both come with DVD, Digital, and Ultraviolet copies.

The Wolf of Wall Street hits the Blu-ray streets this week. The Oscar-nominated drama had a $100 million budget and currently has $387.2 million worldwide. The Blu-ray comes with a DVD and an Ultraviolet copy. We loved the movie, check out our review right here.

That’s it for this week on Blu-ray. According to Rotten Tomatoes, Australia’s film has a 60%  while America’s films average out to 47% making Australia the winner this week. The highest rated film was America’s The Wolf of Wall Street with a “Certified Fresh” 77% while the lowest was America’s Walking with Dinosaurs with 25%.     I haven’t seen world’s end yet it’s one of the movies I keep leaving on the shelf at the video shop. This is the end is definitely good though. Haven’t seen anchorman yet, not sure it’s out yet. I don’t watch comedies at the cinema much, I just rent them

    jennymy90  Yeah This is the End is definitely the better film. Have you seen The World’s End? Smart humor in that movie too. Anchorman 2, not so much.
