Nominated for five Oscars including Best Picture, The Wolf of Wall Street has hit Blu-ray. The picture quality is passable and the sound is mostly fine, but the real punch in the gut is the disappointing bonus content we get.
The Wolf of Wall Street is a blast. Yes the people are despicable and the movie runs at a whopping three hours, but this is a very entertaining movie. The performances are absolutely phenomenal and the screenplay is quite funny at times. Just go in with an open relaxed mind and enjoy what you see. We don’t get too many movies like The Wolf of Wall Street, so enjoy it.
On Blu-ray, The Wolf of Wall Street is perfectly suitable, but far from demo-worthy. The action in the forefront looks a little soft, but a casual viewing of the movie is more than acceptable. In terms of sound, I only had to go for the remote once as the music got bizarrely loud during one scene, so the sound gets an A-okay from me.

The Bonus Features on The Wolf of Wall Street Blu-ray are:
“The Wolf Pack” (17:01) is a feature that has the cast and crew of The Wolf of Wall Street talking about Scorsese and the performances while we see brief behind-the-scenes footage. It’s your average feature where everybody talks highly of one another but it’s worth your time due to some of the nice facts you get.
But that’s it. We were supposed to get a FOUR hour cut of the movie which would’ve been phenomenal, but that never came to fruition. We didn’t even get a single deleted scene or an audio commentary. Disappointing.
THE VERDICT
If you were planning on buying The Wolf of Wall Street on Blu-ray, please do. The presentation is fine and will please casual audiences. Just be ready for the lackluster bonus material.
BryanWeatherall Wasted potential right there
Petey Oneto BryanWeatherall at least the movie is good though, I might like to have this in my collection when it’s out, it’s a shame about the special features though
BryanWeatherall That would’ve been great too. Very disappointed.
lol I expected it to have more bonus material than that, that’s crazy at least they could have put some outtakes or bloopers in there
