This week on Blu-ray: Australia and America get four new releases each. Who has the best selection though? Let’s find out:
AUSTRALIAN RELEASES
Fruitvale Station‘s next stop is Australia when it arrives on Blu-ray this week. The Michael B. Jordan-Octavia Spencer drama had an unknown budget and made $17 million worldwide. The Blu-ray doesn’t appear to come with any DVD or Digital Copies.

Insidious: Chapter 2 haunts up Blu-ray shelves this week. The James Wan horror flick had a $5 million budget and made $161.5 million worldwide. The Blu-ray comes with an Ultraviolet copy.

Machete Kills slashes up Blu-ray shelves this week. The action flick had an unknown budget and made $15 million worldwide. The Blu-ray doesn’t appear to come with any DVD or Digital Copies. We weren’t the biggest fans of Machete Kills, read that review right here.

Turbo races home to Blu-ray this week. The DreamWorks’ animation had a $135 million budget and made $282.5 million worldwide. Two versions of the Blu-ray are available: one with a 3D copy and one without, both come with DVDs and Ultraviolet copies.

AMERICAN RELEASES
The Book Thief will steal your cash as the film comes to Blu-ray this week. The Geoffrey Rush-Emily Watson drama had an unknown budget but currently has $65.4 million worldwide. The Blu-ray comes with an Ultraviolet copy.

Homefront arrives home on Blu-ray this week. The Jason Statham-James Franco action thriller had a $22 million budget and made $31.3 million worldwide. The Blu-ray comes with a DVD and Ultraviolet copy.

Inside Llewyn Davis will come inside a Best Buy near you this week. The Coen brothers’ dramedy had an unknown budget and currently has $23.3 million worldwide. The Blu-ray comes with a digital copy.

Out of the Furnace comes out of the furnace and onto the Blu-ray shelves this week. The Christian Bale-Woody Harrelson had a $22 million budget and made $11.3 million worldwide. The Blu-ray comes with an Ultraviolet copy.

That’s it for this week on Blu-ray. According to Rotten Tomatoes, Australia’s films average out to 57% while America’s films average out to 59% making America the winner this week. Two films tied for the highest rated film. They are Australia’s Fruitvale Station and Ameica’s Inside Llewyn Davis with a “Certified Fresh” 94% each. The lowest was Australia’s Machete Kills with a “Rotten” 29%. Do you plan on picking up any of these titles?
