Blu-ray Releases 7/14/13 – 7/20/13

This week on Blu-ray: Australia gets two new releases while America gets three. Who has the better titles though?

AUSTRALIAN RELEASES

The Incredible Burt Wonderstone comes to Blu-ray this week. The Steve Carrell and Jim Carrey comedy had a $30 million budget and made $22.5 million in the box office making the film a box office failure. The Blu-ray comes with an Ultraviolet copy.

Parker comes to Blu-ray this week. The Jason Statham action film had a $35 million budget and only made $17.6 million in the box office making the film a box office failure. No DVD or any Digital Copy comes with the film.

AMERICAN RELEASES

42 comes to Blu-ray this week. The Harrison Ford Sports Drama had a $40 million budget and made $94.8 million in the box office making the film a box office success. The Blu-ray comes with a DVD and Ultraviolet copy.

Bullet to the Head comes to Blu-ray this week. The Sylvester Stallone action flick had an unknown budget but only made $9.4 million in the box office. The Blu-ray comes with a DVD, Digital, and Ultraviolet copy.

Evil Dead comes to Blu-ray this week. The Horror reboot/sequel had a budget of $17 million and made $97.4 million worldwide making the film a box office success. The Blu-ray comes with an Ultraviolet copy.

That’s it for this week. According to Rotten Tomatoes, Australia’s films average out to a 38% while America averages out to 62% meaning America wins for the first time in a while. The highest rated film was 42 with a 76% and the lowest was The Incredible Burt Wonderstone with a 36%.
