This week on Blu-ray: Australia nets four new releases while America gets none. This should be exciting.

AUSTRALIA RELEASES

A Good Day to Die Hard comes to Blu-ray this week. The fifth Die Hard film had a budget of $92 million and made $304.6 million worldwide making Die Hard 5 a box office success. Two different Blu-rays are available. One with an Ultraviolet copy and one without.

Jack the Giant Slayer is released on Blu-ray this week. The Bryan Singer directed Adventure had a budget of $195 million and only made $197.6 million worldwide making the film a very mild box office success. Two versions of the Blu-ray are available. One with an Ultraviolet and DVD and one with a 3D copy and an Ultraviolet. I loved Jack the Giant Slayer and you can read my full review here.

AMERICA RELEASES

Nothing.

That’s it for this week. Australia’s Rotten Tomatoes average was a “Rotten” 34% while America had nothing so I guess Australia won this week.

WINNER: AUSTRALIA

The highest rated movie was Evil Dead with a “Fresh” 62% and the lowest rated movie was The Host with a “Rotten” 9%. Do you plan on picking up any of these films? Comment below and be sure to come back next week to see what you can buy on blue.
