Friday was a MASSIVE day for Sims fans, Nintendo fans and just… gaming news in general.
Nintendo Switch Details Revealed!
Nintendo live streamed their presentation and conference to the whole world, announcing information for the new Nintendo Switch Console which now has a worldwide release date of the 3rd of March — The price? $299USD (confirmed at $469AUD). They also gave us an in-depth explanation of how this new console evolved and how all the pieces of their previous consoles come together in the Nintendo Switch. There are lots of different ways this console can be used! With the new Joy-Con controllers you can change the way you play. The Switch is not just limited to home use, you can switch it to a hand held device and play your games on the go. Here’s hoping the battery life is sufficient!
There are plenty of games on the way with expected collaborations from new and old game companies. Bethesda are joining Nintendo for the first time, confirming that “Skyrim” will be coming to the Switch. “Zelda: Breath of the Wild” will be a launch title for March 3rd, along with a few other co-op games such as “Arms”, a fighting-shooter type game and “1,2, Switch” which looks to be the typical Nintendo party game to exhibit the features of the new Joy-con controllers. Personally, I am most hyped for “Mario Kart 8 Deluxe” and the return of Bomberman in “Super Bomberman R”.
The Sims 4 Toddlers Update!
Almost two and a half years later, the team at EA and Maxis have FINALLY given us the new life state for these small, drunk, incoherent and needy things, also known as toddlers. The Sims 4 was missing this life state along with pools, (don’t get me started on that!) when the game was first released. Most fans felt like the game was “incomplete” as toddlers were included in previous games like The Sims 2 and The Sims 3. The Sims team kept really quiet about the whole “the toddlers are missing” fiasco. Straight after announcing the Vampires Game Pack (Available 25th of January) — Out of nowhere, they dropped this bomb and the fans in the Sims Community went crazy.
The free update is available though Origin and has SO much content. More than a normal paid stuff pack, ouch. But, you can tell there was a lot of love and dedication put into making these bundles of temper tantrums and gibberish perfect. I really am a terrible sims player. I never have babies in my own Sims games, I dislike whingy children… BUT now toddlers are here, I am willing to keep an open mind for this new update. Check out my video for more information and some in-game play.
